Overview

The Sciener Key Box solves the last mile of physical key management. When you cannot replace a door with a smart lock — a vehicle, a legacy building, a master key set — the key box stores the physical key securely and releases it only to an authorised user, logging every withdrawal and return.

It is the smart solution for car dealerships, rental fleets, property managers and concierges who must control physical keys with the same rigour as digital access.

Key features

  • Credential release. Open the box with card, code, app or remote command.
  • Individual key slots. Each key is tracked by slot, so you know who took which key and when.
  • Full audit log. Every open and return is recorded in the cloud.
  • Remote authorisation. Approve a withdrawal from the app for off-site staff.
  • Tamper alerts. Notifies on forced or prolonged-open states.

FAQ

What if a key is not returned? The audit log shows who withdrew it and when; reminders and alerts flag overdue keys so they can be followed up.

Can a user take any key in the box? Access can be restricted so a user's credential releases only their authorised slot(s), not the whole cabinet.

Complements Smart Locks and Access Controllers where physical keys must still be controlled.
