Overview

The Sciener Keypad is a dedicated numeric keypad for entering passcodes at doors and gates. It is designed for entrances where a full smart lock is not required but controlled, code-based access is — building lobbies, car-park gates, side doors, and shared amenities.

Connected to a Gateway or access controller, a passcode becomes a time-limited, revocable credential, perfect for managing many short-term users without issuing cards or keys.

Key features

  • Backlit keys. Clear, weather-resistant keypad usable in low light and outdoors.
  • One-time and scheduled passcodes. Issue codes that work once, for a window, or on a recurring schedule.
  • Multiple users, no cards. Each user gets their own code; no physical credentials to lose or replace.
  • Tamper protection. Reports repeated failed attempts and physical tampering.
  • Easy mounting. Surface-mounts to a wall, post or gate pillar.

Installation guide

  1. Choose a location. Mount at a comfortable height beside the door or gate, within wireless range of the gateway or controller.
  2. Mount the keypad. Fix the back-plate to the wall with screws, then attach the keypad.
  3. Power and pair. Insert batteries or connect power, then pair the keypad with the gateway/controller through the app.
  4. Create codes. Add passcodes for users, setting any time or schedule limits.
  5. Test. Confirm each code opens the door/gate and that expired codes are rejected.

Use cases

  • Apartment lobbies — residents enter a code; visitors receive a temporary one.
  • Gym and amenity doors — restrict access to members during opening hours.
  • Service entrances — give contractors time-boxed access without a key.
  • Gates — pair with a controller to open motorised gates by code.

FAQ
